Stephanie Moran Reed is a nationally certified Activity Director who is dedicated to helping seniors attain the best possible quality of life. She received her ADC (Activity Director Certified) status through the NCCAP (National Certification Council for Activity Professionals), a federally recognized organization that certifies activity professionals who work with the elderly.

 

Her passion for helping seniors began as an undergraduate at U.C.L.A. where she earned her B.S. in Cognitive Science, Minor in Gerontology, and Specialization in Computing. As a student, Stephanie volunteered at senior assisted living communities and adult day centers. Her interests in human biology and gerontology and the gratification she received from providing quality, person-centered care led her to a professional career working with seniors.

Since 2006, Stephanie has worked with seniors who are independent to semi-independent, and seniors with varying degrees of memory impairment, including Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) and Alzheimer's Disease. Her prior experience includes: 

  • OPICA Adult Day Center, Santa Monica, CA: Memory Care for Seniors with MCI & Dementia 

  • UCLA Aging & Cognition Lab, Los Angeles, CA: Independent Seniors

  • Westwood Plaza Senior Living, Los Angeles, CA: Assisted & Independent Living

  • Belmont Village Senior Living of Westwood, Los Angeles, CA: Memory Care for Seniors with MCI & Dementia

  • The Watermark at Beverly Hills, Beverly Hills, CA: Assisted & Independent Living

With thoughtfully and skillfully created activities programs that include a combination of cognitively, physically, and socially stimulating activities, Stephanie has made great strides in helping seniors reach their greatest potential and improving their overall quality of life.
